Forklift Operator/Yardperson

• Clean and safe environment • Overtime rates and allowances • Busy environment during peak season Are you competent operating forklift? Do you have warehousing or storeman experience? Do you have good communication, literacy, and numerical skills? This position is a hands-on role to assist distribution and to effectively ensure a smooth flow with inwards goods, picking, packing, and dispatching orders. This role will involve loading and unloading trucks and containers with the forklift, shifting stock around the yard, inventory control, some computer work and physical labouring. You can expect to be operating the forklift 80% of the time and 20% completing paperwork for freight consignments. Experience in warehousing, logistics and forklift operation is essential as the environment can be hi-paced during seasonal peaks, you must also be able to work extra hours to meet customer demands as required. You will maintain a high level of H&S and be accurate and methodical in your work. To be considered for this position you will have: • Current OSH Forklift and preferably F Endorsement • Competent with forklift operation • Working knowledge of NZ Health and Safety • Excellent verbal and written communication • Have an excellent work ethic and be reliable • Flexibility to do extra hours This position is Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday morning during seasonal peaks, 40 hours per week with overtime as required, overtime rates and allowances are included. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug test and must be conviction free to meet company policy.
