Bring your wallet and an empty tum on Sunday to support this non profit community event which we hope will turn into an annual festival. Listed below are some of the international flavours you will be able to try in a bite size, none of these groups are commercial, all are fund raising for their community group, club or a project. The stalls are under cover so it will be on rain or hail! Fingers crossed for some summer sun!!!

 

Food stalls; Polish, Canadian, Filipino, Fijian, Romanian, South African, Ecuador, Kiwiana; sweet treats, Vegetarian food, sausage sizzle, Maori cuisine & piklets & cream.

 

Performances;

Solomon Island Dance, Filipino folk dances, Kapa Haka, Cook Island singing, Di Dupree Community Theatre

 

See you there!- also at 2.30pm inside the Art Gallery a floor talk by Dr Doreen Darnell  (lecturer who edited Talespinner) & John McKenzie ( Principal lecturer in Children’s literature at the University of Canterbury) consider David Elliot’s unique visual interpretation of Margaret Mahy’s inimitable world.
