Among the trees damaged in the recent snowstorm were a number of the historic oaks at Barrhill, where a number of large limbs were snapped off, as well as thousands of smaller branches coming down. Ashburton District Council staff have already made a start on the cleanup.

At nearby Corwar lodge a large branch came down on the roof of the historic building, damaging some of the slates.
