24 January 2019 - Around 130 horses have been measured at the Ashburton A&P Showgrounds over the last few months.
Having an official height measurement is a requirement for horses competing in various categories at shows registered with Royal Agricultural Society (RAS).

The abstract exhibition experiments with the physical qualities of paint and opened at Ashburton Art Gallery at the weekend.

21 January 2019 - Ward has final say - Tony Ward scooped the major spoils in Tinwald Cycling Clubs, 45km handicap event around the Methven block on Sunday.
In doing so he lifted the Dean Cooksley Memorial trophy along with the fastest time ribbon.
With lifting winds it was made for the back markers to make their way through the field and this proved to be the case.

The lodge is located in the newer part of the holiday park and has been built by Tinwald Reserve Board to provide more visitor accommodation options in Ashburton.

The February 6 celebration will include a food choice of poffertjes, or mini pancakes, and oliebollen, a Dutch equivalent of a doughnut.
