Crush protection for quad bikes very worthwhile option - Feds PDF Print E-mail

5 June 2019 - Federated Farmers - Federated Farmers is on board with WorkSafe’s decision to "strongly recommend" installation of a crush protection device (CPD) on quad bikes used for work purposes.

"We support WorkSafe’s policy clarification. For some time Federated Farmers has been saying CPDs, or roll over protection as it used to be called, can be a very useful injury prevention option in many - but not all - farm settings," Feds President Katie Milne says.

Farmer satisfaction with banks continues to slide PDF Print E-mail

5 June 2019 -  Federated Farmers - Farmers’ overall satisfaction with their banks remains strong but it is declining steadily, the Federated Farmers 11th biennial banking survey shows.

Satisfaction rates are at their lowest since the survey began in August 2015.

27 May 2019 - New Zealand Nurses Organisation - Canterbury and West Coast nurses will convene in Christchurch tomorrow for the annual New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO) Canterbury-West Coast Regional Convention. The theme for the day will be "Nurses a Voice to Lead - Health for All" which was also this year’s theme for International Nurses Day (12 May).

Federated Farmers urges perseverance on NAIT re-registration PDF Print E-mail

27 May 2019 - Federated Farmers - Technical and other issues are not helping with re-registration for the National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) scheme but Federated Farmers is urging all farmers to persevere.

"This is too important to backslide on. The Mycoplasma bovis issue has highlighted why we need excellent levels of compliance with NAIT," Feds Dairy Chairperson Chris Lewis says.

Work wraps up on Seafield Road rehabilitation PDF Print E-mail
