Congratulations to Mark O'Malley on being selected for the NZ Golf Foundation Squad for 2009. This puts him on the stepping stone towards the National Srixon Academy. He has been selected on form, both historical and current. Also selected from Aorangi South Canterbury area is Tim Leonard. The Club recently hosted a 9 hole tournament which saw a field of 65 entered including 4 men. It is great to be able to host tournaments for all members. Watch this space for next year. This was a very sucessful tournament with players coming from 12 Clubs around the district. Congratulations to these winners: Grade 1. What we now see is new members with work commitments and young families now being able to take up golf and enjoy time for themselves.
