The Ashburton Branch of the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand (Inc) has its Clubrooms, Museum and Parts Shed located on Maronan Road, Tinwald, just south of Ashburton and has a membership of approximately 250. Clubnights are held on the third Thursday night of each month, and at least one opportunity for members to motor their club eligible vehicles is provided each month where possible.
The Club caters for all vehicles produced thirty or more years ago, and members own vehicles ranging from 1902 manufacture to 1977.
The Museum was opened in 1979 and usually houses up to 35 vehicles and is available for viewing by individuals and groups by arrangement with the custodians who can be contacted by phone on the following numbers:-

The Club also operates a Parts Shed which contains a diverse range of new and second hand parts which are available for affordable prices. Members rally their vehicles on a variety of both locally and nationally run events ranging from Alpine type touring events to visits to local points of interest.
A swap meet is held yearly on the 1st Saturday in May and attracts members and the public from all parts of New Zealand and other countries. Swap Meet bookings Contact: Anne Hart (03) 3085733
The Club publishes a monthly newsletter which keeps all members informed of current activities and allows free advertising of car parts and vehicles for our members.
